Billy Graham and Bush - Just Another Lie

The official story is that Bush, beseiged by alcohol and irresponsibility, sought help from Billy Graham who then turned him onto extreme religion.

Last night on the TV news, however, I saw Billy Graham himself say that it never happened.

Bush is such a dyed-in-the-wool liar, he even lies about his own religious awakening. How's that for religious values?

Christians Should Be First to Die in Iraq

There's a nasty thing going on right now: call-ups for the Individual Ready Reserve.

I suggest christians be the first in line to die.

They believe they will go to heaven after they die so death should not be a big deal to them. And it was mainly the christian voters that sentenced all of us to four more years of Bush and his Iraq fiasco in spite of Bush's stupidity and Bush's amazing record of incompetence. You would think the christians would be eager and proud to fight for their preacher-in-chief.

So why don't we hear about long lines of christians signing up to enlist in the military?

Obviously, christians are hypocrites. The muslim terrorist wackos have a much deeper and more sincere faith in their religion than the American christian wackos.

Religious Values Defeat American Values

Bush won, consummating the victory of religious values over American values.

Separation of church and state was one of the original and foundational American values second in importance only to the right of free speech. Both will be under attack in the next four years. Electing Bush to a second term is a nail in America's coffin.

The religion virus has spread so far and wide in America that droves of people voted for their religious persuasion against their own economic interests. Average Americans voted to give tax breaks to billionaires and tax dollars for faith-based initiatives.

Now, this clown in the white house will be convinced he has a mandate from god to further tear down the wall between church and state.

The last time religion ruled, it was called the dark ages. America, get ready for a modern dark age. Get ready to see Roe-v-Wade overturned. Get ready to see a government assault on pornography and unmarried sex. Get ready to pay taxes for faith-based government. Get ready to see a government-backed christian assault on everything that christians hate, like sex and free speech. Get ready to see government-sanctioned police brutality and violations of civil liberties. Get ready for religious hysteria.

There is a possible silver lining - the president's god squad might get so fanatical in the next 4 years that it becomes painfully obvious we need a constitutional amendment separating government from even the slightest hint of religion.

Bush Asks For Support of Kerry Voters

Bush asking for the support of Kerry voters makes me sick to my stomach.

That's like a rapist asking his victim out to a romantic dinner date after the dastardly deed is done.

Bush just doesn't get it. Separation of church and state is not just another trivial policy issue. It's a core American value and the Bush regime is raping that core value that made America a good wholesome country!
